Handel, a European composer par excellence, made regular visits to Italy throughout his life, and in particular to Rome and Venice, musical hot spots not to be missed. His early successes, such as his Dixit Dominus, were the source of his future fame
For Vivaldi and his native Venice, it's a true love story, a unique bond between this "red-headed priest" and this city, the European cultural center in which this composer, famous for his virtuoso concertos and his supercharged choral works, officiated.
It is therefore only natural to bring these two musical geniuses together for this concert, to magnify their talents and compositional qualities.
