Treasure hunt in English !

The bastide of Monflanquin has not yet revealed all its secrets... According to a Legend there is a treasure hidden in the maze of the town's alleys and squares. Through games and riddles, your children will plunge into the world of the knights, princes and troubadours of Monflanquin!

For children from 7 years old. Every day in July and August. Pick up the booklet at the Monflanquin information office (times: click here). Don’t forget to bring a pen. 

Price: 3 € per child, free for accompanying adults.

With Janouille la Fripouille (in French)

The bastide of Monflanquin in the 13th century

Janouille tells the story of the bastide of Monflanquin in the 13th century: discover its secrets with the bastard son of Henri IV! 

Reservations required by telephone, e-mail, Facebook or at the Tourist Offices. 

Tuesdays the 12th and 19th of July, the 16th, 23rd and 30th of August at 9.30pm. Every Wednesday in June and every Wednesday in July and August from 13 July at 11am.

Departure in front of the Tourist Office (Monflanquin).

Prices: 8.50 € per participant on Tuesday evening. 7 € per person on Wednesday morning. Free for children under 7 years old.

Visits/shows: the Fronde (civil war) in the 17th century in Monflanquin

For this exceptional evening show, Janouille will be accompanied by the troupe Calida Costa, the King's musketeers. Limited number of seats: booking essential. 

Tuesday the 26th of July, the 2nd  and 9th of August at 9.30pm on the Place des Arcades. 

Free: show offered by the Town Hall of Monflanquin.

Visits/shows: the medieval bastide of Castillonnès at the time of the Hundred Years War

With Janouille and Gautier, discover the bastide of Castillonnès in the 13th century! Limited number of places: booking essential. 

Thursday the 14th, 21st and 28th of July, 4th, 11th and 18th of August at 6pm on the Place des Cornières.

Free: show offered by the Town Hall of Castillonnès.

Storytelling tour with Janouille la Fripouille (in French)

These interactive visits, where fun is mixed with the serious matters, will enchant young and old.

Every Tuesday from June to September, at 11am. Reservations required by e-mail.

Price: 7 €, free for children under 7 years old.

Visit of the medieval vegetable garden, discovering the healing plants

Discover or rediscover how to cultivate, harvest and easily use nearly 50 plants to prepare herbal teas, infusions, drinks and wines with multiple healing effects. 

Every Wednesday from June to October, from 4 to 5.30 pm. Reservations required by e-mail. 

On reservation. For larger groups, it is possible to organise visits, adapting the day and time.

Prices: 9 €, free for children under 12 years old.


With a local storyteller

Dorothée and Pierre, the storytellers of Cancon

During a walk of almost 2 hours, Dorothée and Pierre will show you the evolution of the medieval village towards the present one. 

All year round, by appointment, from 4 people. 

Price: 5 € per person.

Jean-Marie, the storyteller of Monbahus

From the origin of the hilltop to the placement of the statue of the Virgin, via the history of the mills, Jean-Marie tells you about his village like no other!

Every Tuesday, from the 5th of July to the 30th of August, from 8 to 10 pm. Departure from the central square of Monbahus. A little drink offered at the end of the visit. 

Prices: 5 € per person for less than 12 participants, 4 € per person for more than 12 participants. 

Claude, the miller of Villeréal

Beware, Claude is a miller who does not sleep ! From the grain to the bread, from the mill to the kneading trough, Claude shows you all the steps to make a bread worthy of its name. Claude, a miller who is always at the mill and the oven.

From October to May, by appointment. Open house with bread baking at 3pm on 25-26 of June; and on the 17th and 18th of September (for the European Heritage Days). 

Prices: 5 € per person for less than 12 participants, 4 € per person for more than 12 participants. 

Marie-Ange and her hazelnut grove in Villeréal

Marie-Ange invites you to discover her farm in the Périgord: its heritage, its landscape and its hazelnuts!

All year round by appointment, from 10 participants.

France's Impressions

Sandra, Elodie and Francis offer many guided tours and walks, and even private tours in French, English and German for groups. 

Walks of about 4 to 7 km, from 2.30 to 4 hours.
