Welcome to Ferrensac ‘ Aux portes du Périgord ’ ! Situated in the north-east of the Lot-et-Garonne department, our village is at the gateway to Périgord, equidistant from Bergerac in the Dordogne and Villeneuve-sur-Lot. Ferrensac lies on either side of the D2 (Castillonnès-Villeréal). The landscape of our commune is predominantly rural, with buildings hidden away in the countryside, grouped together in hamlets and within the village, displaying the architectural characteristics of Périgord housing. Farming has left its mark on this well-tended, sparsely populated countryside. With 785 hectares of usable agricultural land, farming is the main economic activity. Our proximity to the Dordogne also favours tourism. Our countryside is criss-crossed by footpaths and cycle paths.
